LONDON: Yeti Nepali Association UK has postponed its 51st annual general assembly and election.
The programmes were earlier scheduled to take place on February 5 this year.
They have been postponed after the coordinator of the election committee Krishna Upadhyaya tendered his resignation citing ‘hectic personal works’.
Suresh Jung Shah, member secretary, said that it would possibly held on February 19. However, decision to these effects will be made during an executive committee meeting that is called for February 5.
He also informed that the deadline to acquire its general membership and renewal of the same has also been extended till February 10.
The ‘oldest’ organization of Nepalese in the UK, the Yeti Association has often been victims of numerous controversies, including its finances, membership, leadership, among others.
