LONDON: Centre for Nepal’s Studies UK (CNSUK) concluded its annual general meeting at Camberley here in the UK recently.
The convention nominated Dr Chandra K Laksamba and Lokendra Purush Dhakal as its new executive director and secretary, respectively.
As per its statute, the senior portfolios are changed every two years.
The meeting also endorsed a proposal to express gratitude to Dr Krishna Adhikari and Dr Raju Babu Shrestha, the erstwhile executive director and secretary respectively, for their exemplary contribution in promoting the organization’s interest during their tenure.
On the occasion, a thorough discussion was also held on the soon-to-be published book ‘Nepalese in the United Kingdom: An Overview’.
The meeting decided to give responsibility to CNSUK to organize ‘Nepal Study Day’ of Britain Nepal Academic Council. The organization will also make public its research on Nepalese Diaspora’s religion on April 28. The research was conducted jointly by CNSUK and Oxford University.
