LONDON: Nepalese Business Association UK (NBA-UK) held its meeting at Blackheath on Sunday (February 19).
The meeting decided to organize various training programmes and award distribution this year as well. The participants also looked into its last year’s similar programmes and collected their feedback for making them more effective and efficient.
Narendra Kandel, its chairman, informed that Yadav Shrestha has been named as the coordinator to organize health and safety, fire marshal and first aid trainings while Dashu Pandey will coordinate food control and hygiene training that are slated for April/May.
Similarly, the body’s legal advisor Deepak Bhattarai will oversee human resource management and employment law-related training while Roshan Sapkota will lead wine testing training. These trainings are scheduled for May/June.
The meeting also named solicitor Raju Thapa as chief judge to decide on its award nomination in various categories. This year, according to the minute, the awards will be distributed in three main categories: best restaurant, best takeaway restaurant and best chef categories.
Likewise, one media will be also selected as the best media of the year.
The body has also decided to honour the former Nepalese entrepreneurs with ‘lifetime achievement award’.
Details information on this will be made public through media later, the organization said.
Anyone who wish to be the life member of the body can do so after paying £500, the meeting has decided.
